One of the more shocking statements of Jesus was when He said, “It is to your advantage that I go away” (John 16:7a). Why is it to our advantage? Why would anyone want Jesus to “go away”? He continues, “For if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you” (John 16:7b). Join us as we finish our series on what it means to be a partaker of the Spirit who is the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. While Jesus in one sense has “gone away”, in another sense we are all closer to Him than we could have been otherwise. He is with us every step of the way through this life!
