In the beginning of His ‘Sermon on the Mount’, Jesus is showing how He is the fulfillment of ‘the law and prophets.’ He is showing us how we are to ‘let our light shine before men.’ Last week we saw how He began by unpacking the first commandment which deals with love of our neighbor — ‘You shall not murder.’ After this He moves to commandments 7-9. ‘Do not commit adultery.’ ‘Do not steal.’ ’Do not bear false witness.’ Jesus has come to bring a total healing in our lives! Down the very core of the motivations of our hearts! Join us as we dig his teaching on lust, marriage, and taking oaths (Matthew 5:27-37).
