The reason God brings Israel out of bondage and into the Promised Land solely has to do with God’s promises made to Abraham. IT WAS ALL OF GRACE. God reminds Israel of this again and again. He says, “It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you go in to possess their land… for you are a stiff-necked people.” Rather, the promises are SOLELY possessed because of God’s covenant with Abraham. “That He may fulfill the word which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” (Deuteronomy 9:5-6) Join us as we dig into God’s liberating grace FOR YOU that most fully comes to expression in the life and death of Christ!
