In the very beginning of the Bible we are told that God said, “It is not good for man to be alone.” Up until this point in Scripture God had been declaring everything to be good. When God sees man’s loneliness he names that “not good.” God knew that man needed not just a vertical relationship with Him but also horizontal relationships with other people.
