Miracles, Signs, and Wonders (Part 5)
This morning we will be looking at what it means to re-dig the wells of our fathers. What it means to “fan into flame the gift of God which is in us” (2 Tim 1:6). What it means to “not neglect the gift that is in us” (1 Tim 4:14). The enemy wants to stop of the rivers of living water from having an expression in our heart and life. The devil, the flesh, and sin, all want to make sure that our hearts are not flowing in the river of the love of God, the grace of our Lord Jesus, and the intimacy of the Holy Spirit. But we can make sure the well is open. We can trust God, dwell in His land, and feed on His faithfulness (Ps 37:3). We can dwell in the land of Gerar (“meditation”) and receive the promises and miracles God has in store for us. Isaac dwelled in the land instead of going to Egypt and reaped a hundredfold (Gen 26:1-3, 12). He stayed in the land and re-dug his fathers wells to experience God’s blessing for himself (Gen 26:18-19).
